Impressive Victory for our U12 Girls’ Football Team

The U12 Girls’ football team have reached the quarter finals of the National Cup after an impressive 7-0 win over traditional girls football powerhouse school, St Ivo Academy.  Thorpe made a bright start with Lola Rapley crashing a ball off the opposition cross bar from 20 yards in the first minute but it took until the second half for the team to really break down the opposition defence.  The goal scorers were Bella Murrell (4), Ava Duffy (2) and Lily Goddard but there were impressive performances all over the pitch.

In a new twist ESFA live streamed the quarter final draws on YouTube this week to add to the excitement.  Our reward was a home draw in the quarter finals against Penistone Grammar School from Barnsley, to be played shortly after half term.
