International Pronoun Day takes place on the third Wednesday of October. This year it is on the Wednesday 19 October. This day is dedicated to respecting, sharing and educating about personal pronouns. Using the correct pronouns affirms another person’s gender identity and promotes an inclusive environment for all.
Gender pronouns are an integral part of how we communicate with others. Several students and staff at Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth Form wear pronoun badges as a simple, easy way to inform everyone of how they would like to be referred.
If any student would like a pronoun badge, email Miss Derbyshire: hderbyshire2qr4@yare-edu.org.uk
