This year RE Online are inviting children and young people to write a 500-word blog or record a 2-minute audio or visual file about a Religion and Worldviews (or RE) lesson that has made a difference to them. The competition is open to all students aged 5-18. Students can enter individually or in pairs.
As entries are limited to five per school per age group we will run an internal competition to find winners for the following categories:
Year 7
Year 8
Year 9
Key Stage 4
Key Stage 5
These will be judged by the Culham St Gabriel’s Trustees, staff and consultants will take place in April 2022
Judges will particularly look for:
A clear sense of how the lesson had an impact on or made a difference to the pupil’s learning.
An original or fresh learning experience.
A unique, creative writing or speaking style.
Supporting arguments with examples.
The ability to keep the reader/listener excited and engaged.
What prizes are available?
Prizes will be awarded to the internal winners, (with certificates of participation to all of those who enter) and if successful in the national competition, individual student winners will receive a £30 Book Voucher and paired student winners £15 Book Voucher each
More information will be posted on the RPE classrooms on Monday 7 February 2022.
