Today we travelled to Lille (Mr Oussada’s home town) to the Christmas markets. Mr Oussada showed us the best shops to shop in, and he gave us three and a half hours to go shopping on our own. In Lille they have a lovely Christmas market full of hand crafted gifts.
Many of us brought wonderful gifts for ourselves, family and friends. After this we had lunch on the coach whilst traveling to Belgium, to visit a really nice chocolate shop! This was an added bonus to the plan. On the way to the chocolate shop, we took a detour to visit “Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery”. Many of us went and had a look around the Cemetery, and waited a moment to pay our respects. After our detour we then headed to the chocolate shop “Leonidas” where all of us (teachers included) brought chocolate! After that we went to visit the wonderful city of Ypres.
