Core Knowledge, Communication, Culture, Commitment and Creativity; these are the five ‘C’s around which we have designed our Key Stage 3 programme of study to lay a thorough foundation for GCSE courses, but also to spark curiosity for language. In today’s fast-changing world of global work, travel and commerce, knowledge of other languages and nations is increasingly important. In our thriving Modern Foreign Languages department, we strive to share our own passion for languages, to develop students’ awareness of cultures other than our own, and above all to instil in them a pleasure in language learning.
