Student Transport to the Sixth Form

Thorpe Sixth Form Mini Bus Service

Buses can travel from the following routes: Poringland, Acle, Hoveton/Wroxham and City routes. Travel is on dedicated Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth Form mini bus transport and will cost between £2 and £5 a day depending where you live. If you apply for the 16-19 Bursary Fund and if your application is approved then the Sixth Form will pay all the costs of transport.

We are hoping to open more routes in the Acle, Blofield and Brundall areas. If this is something which would be of interest to you, please do contact us on 01603 497767 or email us at sixthformtsa@yare-edu.org.uk

If you take public transport, we have a bus stop right outside our gates on Pound Lane.

Car

If you are travelling by car, please see our location on the map below. This can be used to plan your journey.

Cycle Routes

We are approximately three miles away from Wroxham Road, a 15 minute bike journey.

Plan your cycle route here and see how long your journey will take or view cycle routes around Norwich.

There are dedicated cycle racks for students who live within cycling distance of the Sixth Form. Students are advised to lock their bicycles as they are brought on to school premises at the owner’s risk.

As the County Council wishes to support cycling to College or Sixth Form as a healthy and green alternative, a cycling allowance of £200 per year is available to students who qualify for support under the general school and college transport policy.
